112th Convocation of COMSATS Institute of Information Technology (CIIT)
was held at COMSATS Sahiwal. The proceedings were started with National anthem and
recitation from the holy Quran.
Three hundred sixty nine (369) students were conferred degrees in different disciplines
under Management Sciences, Computer Sciences, Software Engineering, Telecommunication
& Networking, Biosciences, Mathematics and Mechanical Engineering. 335 student belongs
to undergraduate level programs whereas, 34 students are from graduate level programs.
Nineteen (19) students were awarded gold, bronze and silver medals in recognition
of their outstanding academic performance. The medalist include Ms. Sajeela Ghulam
Nabi, Ms. Ammara Tabassam, Ms. Wajeeha Rehman, Ms. Maryam Ishfaq, Mr. Shafiq Ahmed,
Mr. Khalid Maqsood Khattak, Mr. Muhammad Umer, Mr. Muhammad Umar Draz, Syeda Tahira
Batool, Rana Waleed Manzoor, Ms. Arfa Hussain, Ms. Azka Yousaf, Ms. Ayesha Amjad,
Ms. Hina Zulfiqar, Ms. Komal Ijaz, Ms. Mayra Akhtar, Mr. Hamza Babar, Mr. Iftikhar
Amjad and Ms. Sumera Mughal.
Engr. Javed Saleem Qureshi, Chairman, Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) was the
Chief Guest whereas, Prof. Dr. Raheel Qamar (Tamgha e Imtiaz), Rector, CIIT was
he Guest of Honor. Media Officials, large number of members of Civil Society, parents
of graduating students, Directors of different campuses & Principal Officers of
CIIT, members of Board of Governors (BoG), Academic Council, HoDs, Faculty members,
Officers and staff members of CIIT Sahiwal were also present in the event.
Prof. Dr. Saleem Farooq Shaukat, Director CIIT Sahiwal welcomed the Chief Guest,
Guest of Honor, members of BoG, Academic Council, dignitaries and proud parents
of graduating students for attending this mega event of celebration of success.
During his welcome speech, he presented campus progress report. He congratulated
all graduating student for achieving another milestone in their lives.
Prof. Dr. Raheel Qamar (Tamgha e Imtiaz), Rector, CIIT and Engr. Javed Salim Qureshi,
Chairman, Pakistan Engineering Council also addressed to the graduating students,
their parents, dignitaries and audience of the Convocation.
The degrees and medals were awarded by Engr. Javed Saleem Qureshi and Prof. Dr.
Raheel Qamar (Tamgha e Imtiaz), Rector, CIIT and Prof. Dr. Saleem Farooq Shaukat,
Director CIIT Sahiwal.
Prof. Dr. Saleem Farooq Shaukat, Director COMSATS Sahiwal presented souvenirs to
Engr. Javed Saleem Qureshi, Chairman, Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC), Prof.
Dr. Raheel Qamar (T.I), Rector, CIIT.
Formal proceedings of the Convocation were concluded with National Antheme. This
memorable event was concluded with group photos and delious lunch in the honor of
all participants.
