Computer Science Society

CSS aims to provide wide range of social and careers activities to enable you to take time out from studies and relax in a friendly atmosphere with other students (and sometimes with the learned respectable faculty too!). We encourage socialising within the department and interaction with other departments. Our aim is to try and break the geeky stigma associated with CS students.

CSS is a place for students with interests in managerial and technological aspects of real life scenarios. Students learn from others like-minded students and from the many visiting guest speakers on current and hot relevant to the IT industry. Topics often include software development, programming languages, game development, operating systems, Android and iOS based applications development. We will also be hosting events, seminars, and workshops outside of regular meeting to stay tuned.

Aims and Objectives

• Our objective is to polish every type of skills of every member of our society
• To provide students with a platform that help them in developing social networks
• Society of Computer Science aims to emerge as a comprehensive departmental student society responsive to technological change, dedicated to excellence and committed to international educational and research needs of University
• CSS will continue to surpass a tradition of distinguished teaching, research and innovation through evolving undergraduate and postgraduate level programmes of study in coordination and collaboration with renowned institutes of country
• Besides traditional fields of computer science disciplines, Society would urge eagerly to hold informative seminars, workshops off and on
• The society will be entrusted with the responsibility of producing cultural-oriented, research-oriented, enlightened and technologically confident and competent graduates who are prepared to lead the nation at par with the science-tech over-drive world
• To develop CS Society as a comprehensive, research-led, endeavourer society with a focus on Technology, quality education, Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Community Service
• To keep sustained, endurable progress as linchpin, Society adopted a staunch and profound approach to hold annual XTC GEAR_N IT Marathons “pearl of innovations” as per society traditions
• Society continuously remains in contact with donors, market and business sponsors, alumni and partners for contributing in making us realize the dream of creating a par excellence society of lyceum
