Sahiwal, September 06, 2015:
The Orientation Ceremony for New Students of Fall 2015 was held on Sunday, September
06, 2015 in CIIT Sahiwal.
Mr. Muhammad Arshad Malik, MPA was the Chief Guest whereas, Wing Commander (R) Khawaja
Jaffer Hassan was the Guest of Honor.
All Head of Departments, faculty members newly admitted students, their parents
and notables from Sahiwal region were present in the ceremony.
The ceremony was formally started with recitation from the Holy Quran followed by
one minute silence in memory of martyres of 1965 War.
Being the part of Orientation ceremony, the presentation about CIIT in general and
CIIT Sahiwal in particular was shared with the audience.
Prof. Dr. Abdul Waheed, Director CIIT Sahiwal welcommed the newly admitted stuents
and congratulated them and their parents for choosing one of the best institutions
in Pakistan.
With reference to the defence day, he shared that no one can fight war without the
help of nation. It was the nation support with Pak Army that we won the war of 1965.
We should remember the sacrifices of Armed forces.
The Guest of Honor, Wing Commander (R), Khawaja Jaffer Hussain shared remarkable
incidents and achieveme of Pak Armed forces in 1965 war. The whole gathering paid
tribute to martyrs of nation for their great sacrifices and bravery in defending
our beloved homeland.
The Chief Guest, Mr. Muhammad Arshad Malik, MPA welcomed and congratulated the newly
admitted students at CIIT Sahiwal He shared that we are lucky for having the campus
of CIIT in Sahiwal.
With reference to the defence day, he added that we are facing internal and external
security threats. Being a nation, we shoud support the Government of Pakistan and
Pakistan Armed Forces who are fighting against corruption and terrorism in the country.
After conclusion of Orientation ceremony, the guests alongwith other notables visited
newly established "Montgomery Museum" in CIIT Sahiwal where, Mr. Mian Attique Ahmad,
Secretary General, Museums Association of Pakistan (MAP) briefed the delegates about
differents sections of the museum. They appreciated the effort of CIIT for establishig
museum.
