Orientation for newly admitted students of Spring 2022 semester held at COMSATS
University Islamabad (CUI), Sahiwal Campus in their respective departments which
was attended by large number of newly admitted students of department of Management
Sciences, Computer Science, Biosciences, Mathematics.
Worthy Director CUI, Sahiwal Campus Prof. Dr. Nazir Ahmad Zafar along with HOD’s
and Deputy Registrar Mr. Rana Adeel Abad visited all departments to welcome the
new students. Orientation Presentation was made by the concerned Heads/ Incharges
of Departments and Senior faculty members at department level. HODs of all department
participated and gave a brief introduction of Campus, rules & regulations, lab facilities
& security arrangements.
Prof. Dr. Nazir Ahmad Zafar, Worthy Director, CUI, Sahiwal campus interacted with
and talked to the students at all departments. He welcomed and congratulated them
on being students of one of the best educational University in Pakistan. He advised
all newcomers to gain maximum knowledge and skills from top learned faculty during
their stay at CUI, Sahiwal campus.Talking to students he said, CUI’s incredibly
talented faculty will be your guides and allies in students’ exploration. Detailed
discussion was made on historical perspective of CUI and recent ranking in Pakistan
and worldwide.
They are your greatest resource. The scholars here are leaders in their fields and
are applying their expertise through scholarship, research, and real-world practice
to address both the most pressing challenges of the day and the enduring human questions.As
you set out on the incredible journey that will help to shape the thinkers, workers,
citizens, and difference-makers you are destined to be, I would invite you to consider
the difference between education and training.He also reminded the students of their
responsibilities, focusing on the element of attendance, interest, and progress
in class.
