Planning & Development Office
The planning and Development (P&D) office, CU Sahiwal was established in year
2008 and is entrusted for following works in the campus:
- The department is responsible for preparation and timely submission of monthly,
quarterly and other project monitoring reports to the Directorate of Planning and
Development (P&D), CU Islamabad for onward submission to Government sponsoring
agencies. The department also submits weekly progress report of all projects to
the Director, CU Sahiwal.
- The department is responsible for preparation of
new PC-I for development projects. Up till now the department has submitted different
PC-Is to the directorate of P&D and HRD, CU Islamabad.
- Pre-qualification of
civil contractors and consultants is also carried out by the department. Contractors
and consultants are prequalified as per the procedures laid down by the Pakistan
Engineering Council (PEC). The department acts as a liaison office for contractors
and consultants. Queries from the contractors are resolved with the consultation
of the consultants. Works of civil contractors are also checked, monitored and quality
is maintained as per standards.
- The department is also responsible for checking
of interim payment certificates of the contractors. The department checks the quantities
of material, amounts and submits to the Director through treasure department for
verification from the consultants. After verification by the consultants the interim
payment certificates with supporting documents are forwarded to the treasurer department
for payments.
- The department is responsible for petty civil and other repair/maintenance
works in Campus and hostels. Application for repair/maintenance is received on approved
format with the recommendation of concerned Head of department. Upon completion
of the work, certificate of satisfactory completion are collected from the concerned
complainant with signature. Cost estimation for petty civil and other works is also
prepared upon directions of the competent authorities.
