HRH Prince Muzi Dlamini is son-in-law of Mr Nelson Mandela. He is Prince of Swaziland
in South Africa.
He visited COMSATS Institute of Information Technology (CIIT), Sahiwal. He was received
at main entrance by Dr. Zahiruddin Shaikh, Incharge Director CIIT Sahiwal. Prof.
Dr. Nazir A. Zafar, Director Academics, Mr. Rana Adeel Abad, Deputy Registrar, Mr.
Safdar Ali, Incharge Admissions and Dr. Abrar Hussain, Incharge Department of Biosciences,
and Mr. Mian Attique Ahmad, Secretary General, MAP/ Consultant, CIIT Sahiwal were
also present at reception. After reception, he was presented bouquet by a student.
He was was taken to the Montgomery Museum at CIIT Sahiwal. Mr. Mian Attique Ahmad
briefed him about different sections of the museum. HRH Prince Muzi Dlamini taken
keen interest in antiquities placed in the museum. He appreciated the efforts of
the management of CIIT Sahiwal for establishing museum in an academic institution
which will help the students to understand their civilization and culture. He further
shared that it is great contribution by CIIT to the society by establishing museum
in an educational institution.
After visiting Montgomery Museum, HRH Prince Muzi Dlamini was taken to the Conference
Room where, he was briefed about CIIT in general and CIIT Sahiwal in particulars.
Dr. Zahiruddin Shaikh, Incharge Director CIIT Sahiwal briefed him about establishment
of department of Heritage studies and Montgomery museum at CIIT Sahiwal. He was
further briefed about preservation & development of Harappa site in collaboration
with Govt. of the Punjab. He highlighted the potential areas of mutual interests
for which, collaborative efforts can be made in future. He shared that we have many
things common therefore, we may learn from each other. He shared the vision of Rector
CIIT under which, we are imparting quality education to the students of under developed
areas.
HRH Prince Muzi Dlamini shared that we had good relations with the people of Pakistan
before partition as well. To strengthen the inter relationship with each other,
we must establish proper coordination. He desired to move forward and to point out
the area(s) which can be a part of mutual interest.
The delegation was served with refreshment. Dr. Zahiruddin Shaikh, Incharge Director,
CIIT Sahiwal presented Souvenir to HRH Prince Muzi Dlamini. The visit ended with
group photo of delegation, hosts of CIIT Sahiwal.
