Worthy Rector, COMSATS University Islamabad (CUI), Prof. Dr. Muhammad T. Afzal visited
CUI, Sahiwal Campus on Thursday, 27th May 2021. A warm welcome and reception
given by Worthy Director CUI, Sahiwal Campus, Prof. Dr. Nazir Ahmad Zafar, alongwith
head of deparments.
Worthy Prof. Dr. Nazir Ahmad Zafar briefed the Worthy Rector about ongoing and future
programs at Sahiwal campus. Worthy Rector interacted with the head of the departments
during which he shared his vision and gave guidelines on various aspects to improve
the standard of education and research.
Worthy Rector also distributed cheques of 40 Million rupees amount between students
of CUI, Sahiwal Campus under the Ehsas Scholarship program. During his talk with
students, he said that we are helping young people to discover their potential,
prepare for life and make a positive impact on the world around them.He said that
education has become life pattern in the modern world and no nation could deny its
importance. He said that education has been playing the most important role in the
life of modern and developed nations.
Worthy Rector Prof. Dr. Muhammad T. Afzal said that all possible steps would be
taken for facilitating the students so that our youth can serve the nation and country
with full passion in future. Moreover, he stressed on quality teaching, applied
research and entrepreneurial mindset among students so that they can took part in
creating opportunities for others.
Worthy Rector also inaugurated the construction of the first floor of C-Block. The
Rector reassured that CUI is on the right track towards its progress and appreciated
the efforts of faculty and staff in the rapid growth of the Sahiwal Campus.
At last, Worthy Director Prof. Dr. Nazir Ahmad Zafar extended gratitude to the Honorable
Rector, Prof. Dr. Muhammad T. Afzal for sparing time from his busy schedule.
