2-Days Talent Grooming and Career Counseling Workshop was arranged at COMSATS Institute of Information Technology (CIIT) Sahiwal on May 18 and 19, 2016. The said training workshop was funded by the Office of Development, CIIT, Principal Seat, Islamabad. It was totally free including refreshment, lunch and certificates for registered participants.

More than 160 students of Management Sciences, Computer Sciences, Biosciences, Mathematics, Mechanical and Electrical Engineering disciplines were registered. It was arranged in two batches with 80 students each on May 18 and May 19, 2016 and each batch comprised on four sessions.

Engr. Dr. Zahiruddin Shaikh, Director Student Affairs/ Incharge Mechanical Engineering was Chief Guest of the opening session of 1st day whereas, Prof. Dr. Nazir A. Zafar, Director Academics/ Head of Computer Science department was Chief Guest of opening session of 2nd day.

Prof. Dr. Abdul Waheed, Director CIIT Sahiwal was the Chief Guest of the Closing session.

The participants were counseled and trained about Communication Skills, Organization’s impact on Personal Development, Challenges and Opportunities in Job Market, Self Actualization; Option for flexible Career & Talent Management, Learn and develop relevant Job Skills, Jobs Search Strategy, Entrepreneurship, The Innovative Ideas, Opportunities for Entrepreneurship, E-Marketing and E-Business.

The participants were served refreshment and lunch. After completion of said training workshop, all participants were awarded certificates whereas, the trainers were awarded souvenirs by Prof. Dr. Abdul Waheed, Director CIIT Sahiwal. Engr. Dr. Zahiruddin Shaikh, Prof. Dr. Nazir A. Zafar, Mr. Safdar Ali, Mr. Abid Saeed and Mr. Ijaz Gul were also present during closing session.
